I have had the pleasure of working with Silverback on the implementation of the 5 step process. They have been instrumental in this process and undoubtedly the driving force behind delivering this technical piece of work. I have found them knowledgeable in many areas of engineering terminology with an excellent understanding to the many processes we undertake.

Our client is one of the world’s leading producers of aero engines for large civil aircraft, corporate jets and defence. The group designs, develops, manufactures and services integrated power systems for use in the air, on land and at sea and is synonymous with high quality and standards. With over 54,000 employees, 15,500 engineers and a £73.7bn order book they are at the forefront of global manufacturing.

In a bid to support staff development and demonstrate competencies throughout the organisation as well as drive efficiencies, they needed an ‘on base’ training department but without adding significant headcount. This needed to be a partnership approach that felt like an extension of their business with an understanding of the complex nature of their industry.


Our Training Partner services were used to deliver company-specified creation and implementation of improvement initiatives. A combination of senior leadership coaching, Graduate programmes, mentoring and competency based frameworks were employed to ensure the right skills were available in the business.

We worked closely with senior managers to look at the training personnel needs and implemented a consistent process to ensure that our managed service met the recruitment and training needs their business had.


Our relationship with this company has spanned over 6 years in which we have developed a true understanding of their business needs.

Our wrap around support is linked with critical areas in the business, over a global scale, to ultimately provide high quality training and project management across their multi-disciplined workforce. We work in partnership with them to ensure that KPI’s are met, efficiencies are driven and skills levels are continuously high.

We currently have over 30 training specialists within the business supporting their UK operations delivering a saving of £57k per annum in direct costs.
